Morning Coffee Predicts Weather

Reflection in coffee cup

Do those clouds in your coffee mean rain’s gonna fall?

I don’t often get coffee news from photography websites, but I had to share this interesting little trick from PetaPixel. Apparently, your morning coffee can predict whether you should expect rain. Just brew a good, strong cup of coffee (I suggest Aeropress) and observe where the bubbles cluster. If they gather in the center of the cup, the day is likely to be beautiful. If they form a ring around the side of your (straight-sided) mug, expect rain.
