The new Keurig Rivo 1-cup espresso features built-in milk frother

Keurig enters the 1-cup espresso market with the new Keurig Rivo, a single cup espresso machine that use yet another special kind of cup. The Riga comes with a built-in milk frother that has three froth settings: latte, cappuccino and cold froth, and will froth any kind of milk. Keurig has reportedly partnered with Italian coffee company Lavazza to provide the coffee capsules for the Rivo. Currently, the company only offers four coffee selections for the new machine, Intenso, Classico, Delicato and Decaf, but that may change with time.

The Rivo promise authentic Italian espresso with one touch simplicity, and perfectly frothed milk without all the fuss. In addition to the three milk froth choices, the Rivo gives you the choice of either short or lungo espresso shots.

Despite the name (Rivo comes from the word meaning Revolutioary in Italian), the new Keurig espresso machine is not quite revolutionary — there are other machines out there that combine pod espresso brewing and integrated frother — but it’s a nice addition to the Keurig lineup.
